Using advanced client-side technologies like WebAssembly, JavaScript libraries, and HTML5 Canvas, conversions for images, documents, and vectors are performed locally on your device. Your sensitive files never leave your computer, ensuring absolute privacy.

2. Edge Processing & Data Encryption

For heavy codecs or complex transcoding operations (such as high-definition video or large audio files) that cannot be completed efficiently in the browser, your files are securely routed to our temporary edge nodes.

Any data processed on our edge workers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS protocols. These files are processed entirely in memory, are never written to persistent storage, and are deleted immediately upon completion of the conversion. We do not store, catalog, or inspect your files.

3. Information We Collect

Total File Convert does not require user accounts, email registration, or logins to convert files. We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII).

We may collect anonymous, aggregated technical details to maintain service quality, including:

• Browser type and operating system version.
• Conversion status (success or error) and format pair (e.g., PDF to JPG).
• Approximate geolocation (country-level) for routing to the nearest edge node.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use tracking cookies or advertising profiles. We use simple, local storage mechanisms to remember your user interface preferences (such as Dark Mode or your last selected conversion settings) locally on your device.
